| If you were driving 45 miles per hour on a 25 mile an hour street and you were caught by the police, given a ticket and told to appear in court. What would you expect to happen in court? You know the least thing would be a fine. While you were in front of the judge trying to explain your situation or get out of paying a ticket he suddenly said, all your charges are dismissed. That means that you have been given GRACE. Grace is something good given to someone who doesn't deserve it. So then after your GRACE has been given you, you leave the court and go outside and since you have been given grace once you decide that you are going to go speeding again since you didn't get a fine the first time, of course not you appreciate that GRACE so much that now you are going to drive under the speed limit. Just because we are living under GRACE, a blessing from God does that mean that we ignore His laws of course not. He made the ten commandment law for us all to follow so that we could be righteous people, the law would point out our sins, not that we should disregard one commandment and follow nine. Grace is a blessing to us who don't deserve it but we are still obligated to follow God's entire law. Read the 4th commandment here |
